It's About Time for a Change

This image completely shocked me. I couldn't stop staring and I had no idea what to think. It's absolutely obsurd that human beings can do this and let this be done to our Earth. As of right now, it is our only home. I can't seem to grasp the concept of having no remorse for the descruction of the planet that we live on.
This picture was photographed just five days ago in a small town in Bulgaria. Just because I just stated that this photo was taken in some where other than the state we live in, no one believes that this applies to them as well. People only seem to care when it directly affects them, otherwise they could honestly care less.
I really hope that this new trend of "going green" sticks around and hopefully helps to inform people that it's up to us all to save our planet.

Birthdays

The Lovely Aly and myself. ^
So today my one of my best friends, Aly, turned 18. My 5 friends and I first enjoyed a marvelous breakfast at the always fabulous Original Pancake House, and spent the rest of the day shopping at Pembroke Lakes mall. In a rush, we all got ready and went out to dinner at a drag place in Ft. Lauderdale called Lips. It was a rather vulgar performance and the food wasn't up to my standards, but I'll tell you one thing, it was like nothing I'd ever seen before. Extravagant costumes. Definitely not your everyday drag queens and the word of choice seemed to be "vagina". Not sure why but I was definitely uncomfortable next to Aly's parents everytime one of the performers dropped the awkward v-bomb. I hope she ended up having an amazing birthday, she could possibly be the most difficult person to satisfy in the history of the universe. Next year we'll be celebrating her 19th birthday in Tallahassee, still all together, of course.
